Donaldson Coolant Spin-Ons

Coolant spin-ons are coolant filters in a spin-on format, threading onto a mounting head in the same way as a spin-on oil filter. The format makes routine servicing quick and clean, since the whole filter is replaced as one sealed unit with no separate element or housing seal to handle.

As with any coolant filter, they are supplied charged with supplemental coolant additives or uncharged, and the two are not interchangeable without checking the engine manufacturer's coolant specification. Thread size and gasket dimensions must also match the mounting head.
